Intention collects nothing and sends nothing. Everything you do in the app stays on your iPhone or iPad.

The short version
Intention has no server, no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party trackers. It makes no network connections. We — the developer — have no ability to see, collect, or receive any information about you or how you use the app.
What stays on your device
Everything the app needs lives only on your device:
- The apps and websites you choose to manage.
- Your daily budgets, commitments, and settings.
- The reasons you write when you declare an Intention, and your Reflection history.
These are the most personal words you might type into a screen-time app, and they never leave your device. We could not read them even if we wanted to.
Screen Time & the apps you manage
Intention uses Apple’s Screen Time framework (Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity) to shield and unshield your chosen apps. Apple provides these apps and websites to Intention only as opaque tokens — the app cannot read their names or identities, and that information is never transmitted anywhere. All shielding happens on your device, enforced by iOS.
Data collection
None. Intention does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. On the App Store, this is reflected as “Data Not Collected.”
Deleting your data
Because all data is stored locally, deleting the app removes it. There is nothing stored elsewhere for us to delete, because nothing was ever sent to us.
Children
Intention is designed for people managing their own device and is not directed at children. It collects no data from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA grant rights over personal data that a company holds about you. Intention holds none: it does not collect or process your personal data, so there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete on your behalf. If you have questions, contact us any time.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. Material changes will be reflected in an app update.
